Email supportQUICK CHECKS
Most issues can be resolved with these quick checks.
Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and allow Sonicord to access the microphone.
Check the provider, endpoint, model name, and API key in Sonicord Settings, then run both connection tests.
Confirm your connection, provider balance, and API limits, then retry transcription from the recording details.
Make sure another app is not using the microphone and that an unintended Bluetooth input is not connected.
FAQ
Sonicord does not automatically upload or process recordings. Open the finished record and tap Generate AI Notes when you are ready.
Original audio, transcripts, and AI-organized notes are stored locally on your iPhone until you delete the record or uninstall the App.
API keys are stored in Apple Keychain. They are not bundled with the App or sent to a Sonicord developer server. They are used directly to authenticate with your configured provider.
Processing time depends on network speed, recording length, and the third-party provider. Long audio is transcribed in segments; keep a network connection and leave Sonicord in the foreground when possible.
Delete the record from the recording list to remove its local audio, transcript, and AI notes. Data already received by a provider remains subject to that provider’s policy.
Export opens the iOS share sheet. The saved location depends on whether you choose Files, Mail, or another destination app.
